Preparation Meeting for Current & New Lectors will be held on Wed. Sept. 27th at 7:30 p.m. after evening Mass at the Rectory. (No Bible Study) All are invited to be present.

Preparation Meeting for Current & New Eucharistic Ministers will be held on Thurs. Sept. 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the Rectory. All are invited to be present.

National Life Chain on Sunday October 1st from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Barry’s Bay.

Annual Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada: will be on Sunday September 24th at the request of the Bishops of Canada. Contributing to this collection is an act of collaboration with the Bishops in their ministry of teaching, sanctifying and pastoral governance.

Ecclesia: Fall Edition is available at the back fo the church. Parishioners might be interested to know that Ecclesia can be found on the diocesan website at pembrokediocese.com, by clicking on News and Events, and then Ecclesia.

A Musical Offering III: A concert of sacred music by Nicolas Walters, Jessica Belanger and special guests will take place in Our Lady of Fatima Church in Renfrew on Friday October 13th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20.00 and all proceeds will go towards the elevator project.

8th Annual Pilgrimage to St. Joseph’s Oratory:  The pilgrimage with a special stop at the Shrine of St. Kateri Tekakwitha in Kahnawake, Quebec. will be held on Sunday Oct. 15th. Mass at the Oratory will be celebrated in the Basilica at 11:00 a.m. Cost is $65.00. Please call 613-732-2235 for more information.

Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College asks you to join us to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving & Celebration Banquet: On Saturday September 30th from 3:00 p.m. with a Mass at St. hedwig’s Church, Social at 4:15 p.m. on the College Campus and Banquet at 6:00 p.m. at the Paul J. Yakabuski Centre. Tickets are $60.00, purchase tickets online at www.seatofwisdom.ca/banquet or by from the college by calling 613-756-3082ext. 118.

St. Patrick’s Parish in Renfrew Annual Turkey Supper on Sunday September 24th from 12:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Adults $14.00 children $6.00.

St. Casimir’s, in Round Lake Centre, Parish Supper: Sunday October 8th, Roast Beef & Bean, take-out available. Handicapped accessible, crafts, bingo, draws. Adults $15.00, children under 12 $5.00 & children under 5 are free.

Parish Harvest Festival & Hot Roast Beef Supper on Sunday October 15th at St. John Chrysostom Parish Hall in Arnprior from11:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Fr. John Burchat & parishioners extend a warm welcome to all.

SFMH Auxiliary Annual Dabber Bingo: on Sunday October 29th at St. Mary’s Church Hall. Doors open at 12:00 p.m. and the bingo starts at 1:00 p.m.  Admittance restricted to 18 years of age and over. Everyone welcome!

Diocesan Marriage Preparation Programs: are available at the following parishes: St. James the Less in Eganville, Sat. Oct. 14th & Sat. Oct. 28th. St. Francis Xavier in Renfrew, Sat. Feb. 24th & Sat. March 3rd. Our Lady of Lourdes in Pembroke, Sat. April 7th & Sat. April 14th. The evening sessions listed on the registration form are not available due to lack of interest at this time. Change of time of Polish Sunday Mass in our Parish for summer season - from Sun., May 21 (inclusive) - to Sun., Oct. 8, 2017 - Mass in Polish language will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., not at 10:00 a.m. We are happy to welcome all our friends, guests and visitors.

Altar Servers: I would like to encourage and invite young people & adults to be Altar Servers during the Masses

1st Communion: if you have a child preparing for their 1st Communion next year, please call Fr. Jan.

Please do not use the religious article corner at the back of the church for a drop off for unwanted and/or used religious articles. If you need assistance for proper disposal of such items, contact Fr. Jan.

St. Mary’s Cemeteries’ Bylaws prohibit the placement of all candles (including tea lights, glass and plastic encased, etc.) in St. Mary’s and St. Stanislaus Cemeteries.  This not only is a fire hazard during the dry season but a danger during the grass cutting season because of broken glass and plastic.  Solar lights are allowed beside monuments or suspended on hangers.

CATHECHISM CLASSES FOR CHILDREN: for children and their parents as a preparation for the First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation. Parents please contact Fr. Jan at the church after the Mass or call the office @ 613-756-2344.

Friday Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Please sign up on the list for Friday Adoration at the back of the church. Please choose your hour. Thank you and God bless you.

The DVD Story of Canada’s First Polish Settlers Part 1, with English & Polish subtitles, is now available for sale for a cost of $20.00. If anyone is interested, please see Fr. Wojciech.

The Proud Inheritance, Ontario’s Kaszuby, a beautiful book available at the rectory for the cost of $15.00.

As women, we need to recharge our “spiritual batteries” to carry out our daily duties. As members of the Rosary Society, we would like to make the 1st Saturday of every month, a special day of bringing our concerns before our Lord in the Holy Eucharist. We invite everyone to join us on the 1st Saturday of the month to participate in the Mass which will be celebrated for this intention.
